The Path of Progress

Over three years ago my brave husband completed a total candida cleanse (seriously if you have no idea what this looks -take a peek!) on my behalf. He did this so that I would not have to go at it alone.  When he started getting questions if work was too stressful because he dropped so much weight so quickly we decided it was time to back off. I mean, who realistically cuts 100% sugar (even carrots) from their diet??

What happened? We learned a great deal about food, nutrition, and wellness and it has continued as we moved forward. Last year we completed a Whole 30. We found it to be so much easier than the Candida cleanse because you can eat carrots, fruit, and even sauces! Wow! The recipes on this clean out were amazing as well. I have so many new found favorites.

Our adaption of the Paleo lifestyle has continued to evolve but not without lapses. It is during those "middle" times when we fall back and start to feel horrible again that I continually ask myself why? It hurts all of us, we hate it and yet the convenience of terrible food seems to win out. Then I realize that we are still progressing forward and I will get this down....just maybe not as soon as others or in the best fashion as others. Here is to progress and moving forward!
